The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU), and Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) came together to develop a rating system for neighborhood planning and development based on the green building. The goal was to establish a national standard to assess and reward superior green neighborhood development practices within the framework of the LEEDGreen Building Rating System
LEED for Neighborhood Development places emphasis on site selection, design, and construction that brings together a neighborhood and connects the neighborhood to its landscape.
This collection includes buildings in neighborhoods certified with LEED for Neighborhood Development.
